Around Warsaw, we have many hidden gems, and one of them is Radziejowice. A place steeped in history, which Warsaw residents gladly visit. What is worth seeing there? And where to go for a spa or restaurant?

Do you have a free afternoon or Sunday? Get in the car and head towards Radziejowice. It is about 45 km from the city center. Discover the local monuments. After visiting the palace and strolling through the park, go to nearby Wiskitki and spend some time at the spa or restaurant.

Radziejowice

Radziejowice is a small town in the Żyrardów county that may surprise you with its history. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages – already in the 15th century, there was a wooden manor here, and at the end of the 18th century, Radziejowice was the family seat of the Krasiński family. They contributed to the development of the town and made it an important point on the cultural map of Mazovia.
Over the years, the place was visited by distinguished guests: artists, politicians, and clergy. Among others, Henryk Sienkiewicz visited here, and painter Józef Chełmoński made the local landscapes the subject of his paintings. Today, Radziejowice still attracts people seeking peace, inspiration, and contact with history.

Palace in Radziejowice

This is undoubtedly the main highlight. The palace and park complex in Radziejowice impresses not only because of its charming location but also due to its historical significance. The current form of the palace dates back to the 19th century, although the beginnings of the residence date to the 17th century. Rebuildings and expansions have resulted in an interesting mix of styles – from Baroque, through Classicism, to Neo-Gothic.
Not only the interiors but also the landscape park deserve attention. A walk among old trees, bridges, and ponds is a great idea for relaxation. In the summer season, concerts, outdoor art workshops, and exhibitions take place in the palace – it is the seat of the House of Creative Work, which has supported artistic and educational activities for years. Admission to the park is free, and some events are open to the public.

Radziejowice – what else is worth seeing

Although the palace attracts the most attention, it is not the only attraction in the area. It is worth taking a walk through the town itself – you will find interesting examples of old rural architecture and a Neo-Gothic church dedicated to St. Casimir the Prince from the late 19th century.
Art lovers should visit the gallery in the palace annex, where works by Józef Chełmoński are presented, among others. If you are lucky, you may catch an intimate concert, literary evening, or temporary exhibition.
Also noteworthy is the Lwów and South-Eastern Borderlands Museum in Kuklówka Radziejowicka. It is housed in a faithfully recreated copy of a borderlands manor from 1827 and gathers several thousand memorabilia related to the history of the Borderlands. Visits are possible after prior telephone arrangement.
It is also worth stopping by the Municipal Cultural Center Powozownia in Radziejowice. Concerts, workshops, and local events take place there, allowing you to better get to know the contemporary face of this area.
For the more active – the surroundings of Radziejowice are a good place for cycling. The routes are calm, the landscapes picturesque, and the car traffic low. A good idea is also a picnic in the park or a moment with a book on one of the park benches.

Hotel with spa and restaurant

If after sightseeing you feel like relaxing for a moment, drive a few kilometers further to Wiskitki. There is the Santa Natura Resort & Spa – a new facility located within the Bolimów Landscape Park. It is a place that perfectly meets the needs of those looking for rest close to nature.
Inside, you will find a wellness zone with saunas, a swimming pool, and spa treatment rooms. You can book a massage, a facial treatment, or just immerse yourself in warm water and forget about the world. There is also a restaurant serving seasonal dishes made with local products. A great place for lunch after visiting the palace or a weekend getaway for two.
Santa Natura is also a good address if you are planning an overnight stay. The facility offers comfortable rooms in a modern style. You can book a stay with meals included or even take advantage of gift voucher offerings.

Summary
