Microclimatic reservoir
The Roof of Mazovia is a forest reservoir with a unique microclimate located at the highest point of the Mazowiecka Lowland (100 meters higher than Warsaw) - hence its name. It is also called the Little Sudetes, because there are many plants here typical for the Sudetes. However, the name Grądy Osuchowskie best describes this unique place. It is an almost 100-hectare complex of deciduous forests found only on moist and fertile soils (oak-hornbeam forests means grądy) and a swamp forest of a relic nature. Swamps constitute 10% of the area of the reservoir.
